4th of July

Oh how I love the 4th of July...burgers, homemade ice cream, and fireworks! It has become a tradition to spend the 4th at the ranch and this year was complete with lots of rain! That just meant we had some great indoor time playing games, watching tennis on t.v. and eating great food! The sun finally came out on Sunday and we were SO happy to play outside AND shoot off fireworks that night, my favorite! The 4th was also complete with my other favorite...homemade peach ice cream, ahh!
James's cousin Tripp and his wife Georgina drove up from Fort Worth and Liesl and her boyfriend Sloan were there from Dallas. We had a great time doing what we do best out there...playing hard!! Here are some pics from the weekend...

It was drizzly and cloudy but we HAD to get out of the house, so Parker and I sat in the mule and watched everyone fish for a while!

My happy boy!

Here's our group about to play frisbee golf. We love this game, we even had flags made so we could make our own course!

Ready to play!

Along the way, we ran into this guy! I HATE snakes and was freaked when I saw it! None of us were sure if he was poisonous and we didn't want to find out. Funny story though, Jane and Steve's lab, Mocha, is in really bad shape and really old. They are probably going to put her down this week. Well, Mocha was with us when we found it and she walked right over to it as if she wanted the snake to bite her. I guess that would have been one way to find out if the snake was poisonous! :) Poor Mocha.

Parker and I had to bail on the second game, he got hungry so after he ate we waited for everyone at the 9th and final flag.

Bad pic of me but cute one of Parker!
