So behind!!

Wow! I didn't realize how much blogging was going to take a back seat with a new baby, but it has!! I will get better, I promise! I have several posts to do since BOTH kids are asleep, James is gone and I have some time to myself! :)
We have been busy these past few weeks! To start off, my sweet friends threw Miss Sydney Kate a sweet little sip and see. The girls out did themselves, it was so girly and fun!

Mom and Lindsey flew up Sat afternoon for the sip and see which was on Sunday!

I am so blessed to call these girls my friends! When we moved here almost 5 years ago, I didn't have a friend...God is good!!

Everyone had a lovely time just chatting and eating.

One month

How did this happen? My baby girl is already one month old!! I wish I could slow time down! ;) Here are some things she is doing at one month old...

*Going to bed around 9 pm and waking up to eat around 2 am.
* Waking up again at 6 am to eat and then sleeping until 9.
* Going every three hours during the day to nurse.
* I got my very first smile this week when I was talking to her!
* She loves to be swaddled tight to sleep at night.
*Overall she is a very laid back baby and such a joy!!

She rides in the Bjorn a lot, it helps us keep up with big brother!

She is well loved on!

Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there and especially to my mom!! I love you mom, you're the best and I appreciate all you do and have done for me! You're also the best Neesie my kids could ask for! :)
My Mother's Day celebrations started on Thursday when Parker's class at preschool had a little MD tea, it was so sweet! Today has been a day full of time with my kids and hubby...couldn't ask for more!

I LOVED having "tea" with this special boy!!

So I finally met Emily. Parker talks about Emily all the time. I knew she was in his class, just wasn't sure which one she was. Well, guess who he was sitting by when I showed up to his table?? I think he is smitten! ;)

I am so honored God chose me to be the mom of these two precious blessings!

First weeks at home

Little Miss Sydney is already two weeks old, hard to believe! Our first couple of weeks at home have gone so smoothly and I give the credit to my mom being here for the first week and all the amazing friends we have that have been and continue to provide meals for us! What a huge blessing!! Parker adores his baby sister, I love watching him love on her. Sydney cries when she is hungry or tired and goes about every 3 hours during the day between feedings and anywhere between 4 and 7 hours at night! Love her!!
Our new morning routine is so fun...Parker has started sleeping in until around 7:30 and Sydney sleeps until 9 or so. That gives P and I some uninterrupted time together which I love! We've made some outings on our own and you better believe Target was one of those places!! Target was the first place I ever took Parker! :) I have to mention how helpful James is and how good he looks holding his daughter! He never thought he was the "daughter type"...he has been proved wrong! Pink is the new color palette around our house and it's so FUN!
