Parker James Austin is here!! He arrived on Friday, May 29th at 11:35 pm. We got to the hospital at 5 am. to be induced and anxiously waited all day for him to be born. Finally after 14 hours of labor and two hours of pushing, he was born! He came out "sunny side up" as the doctor said and that is why it took him so long to be born. I was almost taken into an emergency C-section but God gave me the strength to push on and avoid that surgery! What an exciting day it was!! Parker is such a joy and we just can't stop looking at him! He is (as of now) a very content baby and is a pro at nursing so far...we will pray that this continues! :) Here are some pictures from the big day!
The day before Parker was born
My wonderful nurse Shalee, she was awesome and so much fun!
Hanging out on the "birthing ball" enjoying a popsicle!
By the end of it all, I went 28 hours with NO food! Maybe that was the hardest part of labor! :)
Contractions coming hard but still doing well...thanks to my Southern Living magazine
that distracted me!
My parents arrived from Dallas and came in the room to visit along with Ann,
James's mom.
Here he is...21 inches long and 8 lbs. 3 oz.
It was a long day for him too, poor thing.
First family picture
Wonderful Dr. Appel...she was there the entire two hours of pushing!
Sweetness!
Check out his hair...yes, I can part it!
What a doll, congrats! Enjoy, I know you're going to be a great mommy!
