3 months old!

As of yesterday sweet Parker, you are three months old and mommy and daddy can't believe it! You have had a big month my little man! My favorite new trick of the month is when you laughed out loud for the very first time the other day! It was the cutest thing ever! You did it lying on your favorite spot in the whole world...your changing table! We even called daddy at work to let him hear it over the phone!
This month you have learned how to hold your head up even more, you like tummy time on your gym mat and kick your legs in delight, you still hate your car seat and scream anytime we go somewhere in the car (we're hoping this is the month you grow out of that)! Mommy has also noticed this month that you love to watch Giada de Laurentis on the Food Network when I have it on her show, Everyday Italian. You just stare at her like you are seriously paying attention to every word she is saying. Hmmm, does this mean you'll like cooking or beautiful women??
You have also found your hands and love to chew on them with lots of drool coming out of your mouth. Dr. Fletcher assured me that you are not teething yet! You also show off by blowing those bubbles out of your mouth, impressive amounts of drool there too! You flash that handsome smile more and more. My favorite part of the day is when you smile at me when I go to pick you up out of your crib in the morning, it melts me everytime Parker! And most of all, you still have ALL your awesome hair!!! Mommy and daddy love you so much!

Not another photo shoot mom!

I'm still not fast enough to catch that smile on camera.

Handsome boy!

LOVES those fists!

Big Cedar

Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri is one of my all time favorite places to go for several reasons...James and I got engaged here the summer of 2001, I LOVE to water ski, I would move up here in a heartbeat just to live near a beautiful lake that I could ski on, everything we do here involves the outdoors AND I just love enjoying God's awesome creation! The Austin family goes most summers and we have a blast staying in cabins, skiing, golfing, playing games, hiking, eating and just having some serious fun in a beautiful place. It was extra special this year having Parker with us, he is such a laid back baby and went everywhere with us and did everything and loved it, which made me very happy!! Here are some pictures from our week there...

Arriving at Big Cedar!

Waiting on the beautiful lookout deck while we get checked in

All checked in and on the lake for an awesome evening ski!
My little boat man all ready to go! :)

The next morning the guys played golf and the girls hiked Dogwood Canyon, a beautiful place several miles away from Big Cedar. Absolutely gorgeous!

All the girls and strollers

Sweet Parker napped during our hike. As long as that fan is blowing on him, he's a happy camper.

Walking toward a pretty bridge overlooking the creek, wrong direction Ann! :)

Back on the boat for an afternoon/evening ski and Parker is napping once again. We found that the motor instantly put him to sleep which was great, James and I got lots of skiing in!

Out like a light!

James, Georgina and Adelynn on the jet ski

My little Gilligan

James tearing it up behind the boat.

Stud!

On the lake early in the morning for some of the best skiing and Parker napping again in the boat! He was such a trooper to put up with that life jacket.

Lunch at the marina grill.
Is it time for the boat again?

James's cousin Tripp and I both celebrate August birthdays so sweet Liesl made us a birthday cake. I like cream cheese frosting and Tripp likes chocolate frosting...we got the best of both worlds with her awesome cake!

Sweet Faith holding Parker at the pool

Hanging out at the pool while the guys were golfing again.

Waking up from a nap at the pool

My little lake baby!

Last evening on the lake.

Leaving Big Cedar, always a sad day and dreading a 10 hour car trip home.

Here are some pics of what Big Cedar looks like.

Beautiful walking trails...Parker and I were on them everyday for a lovely morning run!

Another ranch weekend!

I think it's safe to say that we have lived it up this summer at the ranch! This weekend we were there with Jim, Ann and Luke and his family. We had a great time doing what we love out there...playing outdoors and soaking up the beauty! It's hard to believe that August is upon us and summer will be winding down soon. :( It's my favorite time of year and it just goes by too fast!

When we arrived Friday night, I had four little hands eager to help me get Parker ready for bed. He was a trooper, he just laid there like a doll while they dressed him, combed his hair and lathered him up in lotion!

The guys always find some work to do that involves a tractor!

"Bubba" and Katherine

Of course every afternoon is spent at the pool. Parker is decked out and ready to swim!

My little stud!

Parker's first time in the pool!

Faith and Adelynn fishing off the new dock at the lake.

Waco, my water dog, kept scaring the fish away.

So, Luke tied up the dogs so the fish could be caught!

Not fair

Beautiful

Parker's first four wheeler ride. Don't worry, James went slow! :)
