First trip to the ranch!

We had an exciting week this past week! My sister Lindsey came up last Sunday and then my parents drove up on Tuesday and we all played at the ranch for the week. We sure missed Ryan, Carrie and Leah! My mom, Denise, is called "Neesie" and dad is grandad and Parker just loved having them there, so did I!! We had a great time swimming, riding four wheelers, shooting skeet, cooking out and just relaxing. Luke and Meredith (James's brother and wife) and their four kids came out on Friday night and added to our fun for the weekend. Parker loved his first trip out there and I loved all the help that I had! :) I miss all those helping hands now that we're back home! I LOVE summer and there is nothing like being out at the ranch surrounded by family and God's creation!

Three weeks old today!

I know I say this EVERY Friday, but I just can't believe how fast time is going by! Our little man is three weeks old today and we love him more and more every day! Here are some more pictures from our week.

Worn out from a long day of running errands and seeing his cousins.

Waco supervising our bath time process!

Ready for the tub

Now that the cord has fallen off, we can use the little bath tub and not that sponge, no more screaming! :)

All finished and ready for bed!

Parker's first big event

This event actually happened last weekend; I'm a little late in posting it. Our dear sweet friends, Brad and Heidi, are about to have their baby boy Jack (Parker's future best friend). Last Saturday I helped throw her baby shower and Parker got to attend his first event. He got all dressed up for his big afternoon with the ladies, however, he slept through most of it! :)

Busy week already!

So I got a new I- phone on Sunday afternoon and now I can take pictures ALL the time of my sweet Parker! I know they're not the best quality on the blog, but it's just so easy to snap these pics with my phone and share them with you! Yesterday he had his two week check up at the pediatrician's office and he did great. Parker was 8 lbs 3 oz when he was born and now he's already 9 lbs. 4 oz, he also grew 1 inch! He's a growing boy but oh how I want him to stay this small! After the doctor, I introduced him to Target...he slept through most of his first Target trip but that's ok, it gave me a chance to just browse the whole store. Our little guy is so much fun, we can't get enough of him!

Waiting for Dr. Fletcher to come in.

Heart sounds good!

Parker wouldn't let me leave his sight, his eyes followed me wherever I went.

Welcome to Target!

In his jogger, we walk every morning before it gets too hot!
Isn't he the cutest??

Two weeks old!

I can't believe that two weeks ago today Parker was born! These two weeks have been full of recovery, adjustment and happiness! Each day gets better and better as far as recovery goes. James and I are adjusting well to having Parker in our lives, we can't imagine not having him! He is the most content baby. He LOVES his swing and would swing for hours if we let him. He is also quite the sleeper, he has to be woken up at night to feed every four hours. One of our favorite daily activities is taking Waco to the park so she can run and play. Parker loves his stroller and usually takes a nice nap while we're walking! I love being a stay at home mommy, it's the best job ever! :)

Meeting Waco

So our dog, Waco, has been an only "child" and queen bee for the past four years.  We love this dog and still do but she thinks she's been dethroned.  Our attention is not fully on her anymore and this is quite upsetting for the dog.  If only I knew how to record her constant whining and post it too, you would be saddened and disturbed by this "forgotten" animal! :)  She still gets food and water daily and even taken to the park, so don't let her fool you.  We finally gave her a much needed bath and let her in for the first time to meet Parker.

Waco came into the nursery and found me rocking Parker.  Oh the whining that followed!

Still whining, me trying to keep her quiet.

Still whining...side note: this WAS the spot where Waco's bed was, it got moved to the other side of the t.v. room.  Don't feel sorry for her.

She kept looking back at us and then starring at Parker.

My little sweet pea

He was puckering up in his dream. :)

Already watching Sunday afternoon golf with dad.
(Seems like golf on t.v. has the same affect on Parker as it does me!)

Parker's first week at home

I cannot believe that a week ago today Parker was born, time is already going too fast!  Pure joy is the only way I can describe this little one!  We have had some great first days at home and I know I could not have done any of it without my mom!  She has been such a huge help to me as I've recovered and learned the ropes of being a first time mommy!   This week has been so much fun having visitors, dinners brought to us, quality time with mom and Parker and of course seeing James go straight to Parker when he gets home from work.  Here are some pictures we've taken from this week...

Bringing him home from the hospital

First time in his crib, I've looked at that empty crib for months just waiting to see
a  little baby in it!

Meeting great grand-parents, Mema and Papa for the first time.
They drove all the way from Dallas to meet him this week!

Mom and I had a little photo shoot one afternoon, couldn't resist!

Sweet Heidi came over to visit one afternoon.  Her bundle of joy is due very soon
and Parker can't wait to meet his best friend!

First outing at the park, I had to get outside! :)

One VERY happy and muddy dog!
