Happy Halloween!

Once again on Halloween night, we turned off our porch light and headed out of the house! This year we went to our church's Fall festival. Parker sported his cow costume and was overwhelmed the second we walked into the gym. There were kids EVERYWHERE and bounce houses as far as you could see! He was too small to do most of it, but we still had a good time walking around and seeing friends!

Showing Nana his costume at her house!

About to leave for the carnival

All three Parkers together at the carnival! The monkey on the left is the girl Parker! :)

Cutest cow I've ever seen!!

Daddy and Parker in the play room

Parker got to ride the "roller coaster" right before we left. He was rubbing his eyes by the end, our signal to head home! I love my 7:00 bedtime baby!! :)

Our treat on the way home was to stop at McAlister's Deli and grab dinner to go! It's brand new to Amarillo and we always rejoice when a "good" restaurant comes to town!!

Moo!

This afternoon James's law firm had trick or treating for all the attorney's kids. Parker went as a cow because it's the only animal noise he can make right now and I fell in love with his costume when I found it at Target! Of course when asked what a cow says, he would just smile, but don't worry, he mooed all the way home in the car! :)

Getting ready to leave for daddy's office!

Waiting outside the office, not sure what's going on.

This pic cracks me up, something really caught their attention! Not sure what kind of candy they were going after!

This is Bob, James's boss, trying to convince Parker to grab some candy out of the plastic skull! He wasn't too sure about putting his hand in there!

Just for fun... my little pumpkin last year at daddy's office!

Fun Fall weekend

We got to spend Thursday through Sunday out at the ranch with my parents who drove up from Dallas! We had so much fun hanging out, playing outside, and eating great food! The weather was perfect... it rained, it was cold/cool and then we ended the weekend with sunshine. As much as I love summer out there, Fall sure is pretty!
Thanks mom and dad for coming up, as always, we had so much FUN!!

PS:  I know all my Dallas friends are ready for Fall-like weather...we are having our first hard freeze tonight, 29 degrees!  Ya'll just move on up here and you can have all the cold and cozy weather you want!!  ;)

Playing outside!

Look closely, he's sporting his first pair of cowboy boots! :)

We all wore our rubber boots on Friday, it was extremely soggy from all the rain!

He LOVES his truck!

It was a damp and cold day!

The look of summer is fading and the shades of brown are settling in.

Parker and Grandad, too cute!

My boy and his overalls...love it!

Jim cooking the bacon while the rest of us watch and drool! :)

Baptism

The most important decision we can make as humans here on Earth is to realize that we are sinners and that we need Christ as our personal saviour, repent of our sins and accept Him into our hearts and follow Him daily.
"For it is by Grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift from God, not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

This past summer, our nieces, Faith and Adelynn, both accepted Christ into their hearts at camp Kanukuk. On Sunday, they were baptized out at the ranch in the lake by Uncle Steve. (Steve went to seminary before dental school!)
Luke and Meredith had planned a sweet little ceremony complete with Bible verses and praise and worship songs. Here are some pics from the special day...

Steve spoke before he began the baptism.

Carrying Faith into the (chilly) water.

Faith being baptized.

Adelynn

We had towels immediately waiting for them, that water was cold!!

And this precious boy slept through the whole thing but had an ugly meeting with the concrete after nap time. He was running, fell and his face hit first...the first of many battle wounds I'm sure! ;)

Still happy enough to chomp down on rubber ducky!!
