39 weeks!

Well, here I am one week from my due date...crazy!  I just thought I was ready to have this baby two weeks ago, well, I am READY to roll!  I have reached the point of feeling somewhat uncomfortable...lower back pain has set in, major fatigue and even some anxiety about how this is all going to go down!  I'm so excited about the big day though,  just beside myself wondering what it's going to be and watching Parker meet his baby brother or sister...it is going to be the best!!  Parker has kept up the excitement as well and continues to give us predictions as to when this baby is going to arrive and whether it's a boy or girl!

1 week to go!!

In the meantime, we've been busy celebrating Waco's 8th birthday!

Making pancakes

Getting baby items out of the attic

Being silly (with clean underwear I might add)

Enjoying the park

Getting a little wet on a very warm day

And going on one last date night with the hubs...Jurassic Park in 3D was awesome by the way!  :)

Stay tuned for baby news!!! I go to the doctor on Thursday morning so we will see what she says!

Easter 2013

Easter Sunday is the best because as Christians, we can proclaim that He is Risen!!  It also means that it is Spring and that it's ok to wear white.  Anyone else have that ingrained in them since childhood?  You can't wear white until Easter, it that a Southern thing?  I still think that way!  Anyway, silly clothing rules aside, we had a wonderful weekend celebrating the Resurrection with lots of festivities.  We typically spend Easter in Dallas, but since I can't travel, we stayed home and Amarillo didn't disappoint, the weather was perfect!

We started off with an Easter egg hunt Saturday morning at church!

Success!

Going through the "loot" with Walt, Wyatt and Morgan.

It was a gorgeous morning!

Later that afternoon we dyed eggs on our patio...in his underwear of course!

Parker took this very seriously!

Waking up Sunday morning to see what the Easter bunny brought in his basket!

Then it was off to church!

Loving on the baby.

Then we got casual so we could spend the afternoon at Nana's house for lunch and more egg hunting!

Lookin' hard for those eggs!

My two handsome boys!

Parker and his great-grandmother Dottie and Meemo.
It was a great day!

Next up on the agenda...the arrival of baby!!!!
I've loved reading your comments on what you think it is, keep the guesses coming if you haven't chimed in!

Confessions...

First of all, happy Good Friday!  The fact that today is the day we celebrate Jesus dying for our sins on the cross is THE most important thing I could possibly blog about today!  Looking forward to Easter Sunday where we can proclaim...He is RISEN, He is RISEN indeed!!!

Now, onto confessions of this 37 week pregnant lady!

Not gonna lie...

This is how I look most days.  Very stretchy Lululemon workout clothes and a sun visor...it helps me keep up with the 3 year old little boy that likes to live outside!  ;)

37 weeks!!!  I think I've dropped a little.

Like I said, we spend our days outdoors playing.  Me?  I spend it in a lawn chair watching Parker have his fun, it's how it must be done these days!
This is Parker and his buddy Jack having some serious fun!

I confess that I feed my child sugar cookies to make it through a Walmart trip.
Wouldn't you like to get this excited about grocery shopping??

Groceries are piling but look how happy he still is!!
I also own the fact that most of what you see is junk food in this picture, I promise there are fruits and veggies below, promise!

And this just cracks me up... James just rolled off the Presbyterian Children's Home board as president and as a going away gift, one of the children made a wallet for him.  Like good dads do, he gave it to Parker.  Well let me just tell you, P takes his wallet very seriously and carries it everywhere...in the front waistband of his britches.  ;)

It came to Walmart today and this is Parker waiting ever so patiently in front of the cashier so he could "pay" for our groceries.  He had 4 pennies in it.  Precious I tell you.  Precious.

AND just for fun...since my doctor told me yesterday that I am 60% effaced and dialating, I think this baby is coming soon (hopefully)!  So, even if you hate leaving comments, leave one!!
What do you think??  BOY or GIRL???  I want to know your opinion!  :)

Spring has sprung!

And so has the 9th month of my pregnancy. I hit 36 weeks this past Tuesday, wow!!  Now that the weather has turned warm (for the time being), Parker and I have been busy, busy playing outside!  I've also been in that famous "nesting mode" where I feel like I could organize anything at any given time!  I continue to eat up my last weeks of one on one time with Parker, these days are just precious to me!
Here's what we've been up to...

Lots of outside time...picnics, park play dates with friends, side walk chalk, walks, etc.

I adore this picture, our trees are finally BLOOMING!!!  The ugly dead of winter is leaving us!

This boy has gotten really fast on his hot wheels.

So fast that I have resorted to riding this just to keep up with him!!  :)

I still ride this one at the gym...my friend Leah insisted on taking a picture of me teaching spin class while 9 months prego.  She says one day I will appreciate this...one day I'll look back at how crazy I was!  Ha!  :)

And here is the 36 week belly shot!
Not much longer!  Boy or girl????  Dying to know!
I 100% think it's a boy, no question, just my instinct.  In fact, I told a girlfriend today that I will roll off the bed if that baby comes out a girl...from sheer shock!  :)

Fun in the sun!

Oh my goodness... we could not have had a more perfect day yesterday!  Our high was 86 degrees and the sun was shining, absolute perfection in my book!  It was also the most perfect day to head to the ranch with my girlfriends and their kids for a day full of playing!!
These girls are such a blessing.  Not only do we get see each other everyday at the gym to workout and of course socialize, but our kids are great friends too and they love playing together!
We met bright and early and drove out to the ranch and had a full day of fun!  By the end of the day, our kids were seriously dragging themselves to the car to head home, it was awesome!!
Here is a glimpse of our day...

When we arrived the first thing the kids wanted to do was to check out the horses!

Parker and Eli getting a view from the top!

So we had this great idea of getting all the kids to sit on the stairs for a picture.

It just didn't happen.

Sweet Leah and Eli ready to ride the mule!

My backseat passengers...Karen with Gracie, Parker and Chloe

You better believe there was four wheel riding!  These girls know what they're doing! ;)

We stopped off at the apartment barn garage where we got to meet the new littler of kittens.  They are just 2 weeks old.  The kids loved them!!

Yes, this prego hiked herself up on a four wheeler to take Parker on a ride! ;)

My cool little dude.

Oh how they loved riding the little John Deer tractors.

Since we don't uncover the pool until Memorial day weekend, we created another type of water activity!

And there was some relaxing...Leah, can we get you anything??

Amanda with Chloe, Charlotte, Olivia and Parker
They got a kick out of riding around in that thing!

We ended the day with some tennis and basketball!

It sure was fun girls!!  Can't wait to do it again!!

Only 97 days until summer!!!!!  Can I get an Amen?
